The Wirral History and Heritage Fair, Birkenhead March 2018
For those of you who missed Relatively Seeking UK’s first public event, we have posted a few photos taken at the annual Wirral History and Heritage Fair held at the Birkenhead Town Hall on the 10th March 2018, run by the Wirral History and Heritage Association (WHHA).
Here is our display stand just before the start of the event. It showed all of the different categories and services of genealogy and family history research can offer to our clients.
After getting everything set up this was the only opportunity we got to take a photo of the full stand. Enquiring clients packed our stand for the next 7 hours.
We each got a few minute break allowing us to have a quick look at some of the other stands. When we were also able to take in some of the stunning architecture of the old town hall.
We were so busy the rest of the show that we had no more time to look around the Birkenhead Town Hall and other stands. Fortunately, we had brought a few thermoses of piping hot coffee to keep us all going.
A fantastic turn out of exhibitors and visitors.
Over 60 groups and societies participating in the event and a great time was had by all.
During the event, we were visited by over 300 people who either just wanted to know who Relatively Seeking UK were or find out more about the different services that we offer to our clients. We also came home with more than 20 requests for help and information from people researching their own family tree’s and needing some extra help.
Despite having a very exhausting day it was a great learning experience for the whole team. We now know that at our next event we will have an even bigger stand. Also, we will have lots more members of our team in attendance to allow each of us time to explore and enjoy the rest of the event. Not forgetting lots more coffee and biscuits for everyone.
We were told by the organisers that this year’s event was the best attended so far. This shows the ever-growing numbers of people who want to find out more about their families history.
